You may have noticed (though it’s more likely you haven’t; in fact, you’re probably not even reading this) that there haven’t been Weekend Mixes for the last couple of…weekends. I’m a little burnt out on mixes at the minute, so I’m gonna start putting them out the first weekend of every month, rather than every weekend.
Also, posts may be few and far between in the coming weeks due to upcoming exams (which means a lorra lorra revisin’). I’ll keep you posted.
New Raconteurs album!

The Raconteurs have announced that their new album, Consolers of the Lonely, will be coming out next week (March 25th)!. And they only finished recording it last week. A video for the first single from the album, “Salute Your Solution” will likely be released on the same day. Says Jack White:
“The album was mastered and completed in the first week of March. It was then taken immediately to a vinyl pressing plant. Then to a CD pressing plant. Then preparations to sell it digitally began. March 25th became the soonest date to have it available in EVERY FORMAT AT ONCE. The band have done no interviews or advertisements for this record before this announcement. The purpose: to get the album to the fans as soon as possible and as we promised. We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the EXACT SAME TIME so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding it’s availability, reception or perception.“
Pretty awesome, huh? Unfortunatley, since the album has just been finished, no songs have been released yet - so we’ll just have to make do with a couple of a cover of The Undertones’ “Teenage Kicks” by the band instead. Enjoy!

Well fancy that. Another blog. I already have two, for God’s sake. I’m must be really greedy. And it’s true - I am. It’s just the ruthless captitalist inside of me coming out.
Anyway, this blog will feature cross-posts from the other aformentioned blogs (akuhei bakery, the music one, and Second Hand Popcorn, the movie one), as well as rants by me, weird crap I find out the t’internet, etc etc. Just like every other blog one the interweb. Except here you get my wittily informative commentary.

If I wasn’t trying so hard to be laid back and sarcastically, ironically cool, I’d make one of those hilarious internet Commie switcheroos, like “In communist Russia, kittens headbutt YOU!” Unfortunatley, I am trying so hard to be laid back and sarcastically, ironically cool, so I will make no such joke.
